Food is the fuel which provides our bodies with the energy required for any physical activity. For a person living a sedentary lifestyle, the amount of food or energy their body needs is much less as compared to a person with medium or high intensity activity lifestyle. Also, it makes completely no sense for a person to spend hours in rigorous training, & then eat all the “junk” possible. Any imbalance in this concept of food & activity will result in undesirable results such as obesity or unhealthy weight loss, weakness & injuries.

Eating a healthy balanced diet accompanied by regular exercise is essential in maintaining physical & mental health & well-being. These are effective in maintaining healthier lifestyles & are also associated with improved sleep & mood. Nutrition involves more than simply eating a “good” diet—it is about nourishment on every level.

It is said, “you must eat to your heart's content”, which does not mean eat till you “can’t fit no more” in the belly ! It means, taking a serving, which is the size of your fist.

A healthy diet throughout life, supports normal growth, development & ageing, & helps to maintain a healthy body weight, & reduces the risk of chronic diseases leading to overall health & well-being.


When it comes to food & fitness, there are many Do’s & Don'ts that people start following, & that leads to stressing about food, rather than happily enjoying what you have. All the food prepared completely at home is good food ! It is completely normal & natural to crave for some sweets or fast food sometimes, & give ourselves & our bodies a treat ! Only eating healthy food in itself is an unhealthy concept to follow. Cheat days once in a while are important for the body as well as the mind.

These days, with all the social media & magazines, etc, seeing models with the so-called “perfect body”, which mostly impacts the teenagers in the most negative ways possible, it is necessary to understand that the bodies these models have, IS NOT HEALTHY ! They starve just to look slim & skinny, & throw up after they eat something they were craving, in order not to gain extra calories . Physical appearance is not that important as compared to health of the body & mind. Please do not let these models & celebrities ruin your health for the sake of a flat tummy. It’s not worth it !


Eat well, rest well & exercise enough to keep you active & healthy.
